I don't know if my house will ever be all white...

I am one of those moms that lets my kiddos eat breakfast on the couch on lazy mornings.
I let my dog on the couch (not sure how I would stop her even if I tried...and I have tried).
We have pizza picnics on the floor, snacks on couches during movies and lots of
little feet all over...not always clean feet.
No...as pretty as it is...I will stick with brown couches.
So worth it!
So for now girls who decorate with all white...please keep it up so I can oooh and ahhhh!
As for me I will keep mopping, spraying down, picking up, loving it...most days...and dreaming of all white!

You are so right! I love to look at it, but it would drive me crazy if I had it! We almost bought a white couch the last go round and changed our mind at the last minute. Best decision ever. Black coated dog who sheds like crazy. I'm with you on this one!
ReplyDeleteGood Morning Tracey! I soooo love white too ~ especially the worn chippy white. I have white furniture and accessories but still have the beige couches - my boys are rough, tough and dirty. Once they're gone though, I will get my white slipcovered dream couches! :)

I hear ya...and although it's only hubby and me for now (we have a baby due in Nov.) and we have no dog...we seem to gather enough messes ourselves! I'm all about keeping the work-load easy and dreaming of what could be....but probably is never going to be practical enough for us.

ReplyDeleteI have 6 children, a cat and her 5 kittens, a puppy and a hubby... I have white and beige everywhere, even down to towels.... I don't dream about it anymore, its a winter wonderland. I dream of colour and in my next design, lovely violets are making an intro.

We miss the ease and comfort of family life, where things flow and there is no "hey watch out for the couch"
I recently read this article and I think it made a lot of sense... so Mothers and women... keep up what is important and let your dreams be in what you currently have. Less is more!
